AMAZON EXPANDS

Amazon has begun construction on its third distribution centre in Ottawa's south end.

The new logistics centre will be located at the intersection of Bill Leathem Drive and Leikin Drive in Barrhaven.

The expansion marks Amazon's continued growth in the region, where it already operates two other fulfilment centres.

The new facility is expected to create additional jobs and strengthen the company's logistics network in Eastern Ontario.
